Industrial Gaskets
International Seal supplies industrial gaskets in standard and custom configurations for pipeline, flange, and equipment sealing applications. We supply gaskets in a range of materials including NBR, EPDM, silicone, PTFE, and metal-detectable compounds for food and pharmaceutical applications.
Gaskets are critical sealing components in piping systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and process equipment. We supply standard sheet gaskets, custom-cut profiles, and precision moulded gaskets to customer drawings.
Industrial Gaskets
Gasket material is selected against the media, the temperature and pressure at the joint, and the flange or equipment design. The same profile in the wrong material is the most common cause of a leaking joint.
- NBR — petroleum oils, fuels and hydraulic fluids in general industrial pipework.
- EPDM — water, steam and many chemicals; widely used in water treatment and utilities.
- Silicone — wide temperature range, and available in food-contact and medical grades.
- PTFE — broad chemical resistance, including envelope gaskets where the flange faces need protecting from aggressive media.
- FKM — elevated temperature combined with fuel and chemical resistance.
- Metal and X-ray detectable compounds — for food and beverage production where foreign-body control forms part of the system. See detectable seals and compounds.
- Non-elastomeric sheet materials — including compressed fibre and graphite-based materials for higher-temperature flanged joints.

Custom Cut Gaskets from Drawings and Samples
Most gasket enquiries are not for a catalogue part. Gaskets can be cut to your profile from a drawing, a DXF or DWG file, or a physical sample — including non-circular shapes, multi-bolt flange patterns, irregular profiles and gaskets with internal cut-outs. What to send with an enquiry:

Where you have a failed gasket and no drawing, a photograph against a rule plus the flange details is usually enough to start from.
Flange Gaskets and Standards
Flange gaskets are supplied to recognised dimensional standards as well as to customer drawings. Tell us the flange standard, the nominal bore and the pressure rating and we will confirm the correct gasket dimensions, pipe size alone does not determine the gasket, because the same nominal bore has different dimensions between standards.
